I have now completed my missionary year in the Congo and hope to continue along the road that I am called to follow. I was thinking about whether or not to finish this blog since my Congo Adventure finished, but I enjoyed very much writing about what I was experiencing and learning that I thought that I should continue to share insights and discoveries in my life and what speaks to my heart.

typical "Mammas" with their head scarves and panyes (skirts)
The "Mammas" (who are older women) are always smiling with crooked teeth and saying "Mbote" (greetings) while shaking your hand. The Mammas usually go to the market everyday with big baskets on their heads with fruits and vegetables in them. They also are always wearing silk head scarves and beautiful panyes with colourful patterns on them.
